OUR STORY
Combining a family heritage of shoemaking and a taste for modern footwear, DANT draws on a rich experience that ensures style, personalized luxury and comfort.
Founded by Dan Torres, DANT is the coming together of three generations of cobblers from the traditional shoemaking capital of the Philippines, Marikina. The city used to be the home of clans of artisan shoemakers until social, economic and natural upheavals saw the dwindling number of craftsmen.
What first began as a natural, family-bred interest in high end shoes, he made his first shoe himself in 2016. To refine and hone his skills, he undertook an immersive tour of shoemaking workshops in Florence, Italy as well as training through a teacher from Arsutoria School Milan, Italy.
Through DANT, he has sustained the family’s history of making excellent footwear, continuing the legacy and craft of handmade shoes.

Whether it is Ready-To-Wear, Made-To-Order or Bespoke, DANT only uses the highest quality materials sourced internationally. Along with highly skilled experienced craftsmen, we create Blake-stitched shoes that ooze with youthful style, tailor-fit to our customers’ preference without compromising comfort and durability.

Committed to sharing what we are passionate about, DANT has collaborated with top Filipino designers to showcase the artistic and skillful talent of our cobblers. Some of our collaborators include Randy Ortiz, Rajo Laurel, Paul Cabral as well as media partners MEGA and Lifestyle Asia.
Some of our famous clients include Hollywood Star Steven Seagal, Governor Chavit Singson, Congressmen, Governors, Mayors and celebrities. However, more than them are plenty of unnamed but critically discerning patrons who share the same desire for stylish, quality, handcrafted, local shoes.
We are happy to share with many clients a love for local, dedicated craftsmanship as well as youthful and progressive shoe design.
